Biography

Shri Pradeep Kumar Ray is currently working as Registrar since Dec 2022.  Prior to joining IISER Berhampur, he was working as Registrar at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati.  He also worked as Deputy Director (Administration) at AIIMS Bhubaneswar for a period of 07 years.  During his stint at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, he also held additional charge of Deputy Director (Admin) of AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Raipur, AIIMS Kalyani and AIIMS Guwahati. Shri Ray initially joined CSIR Administrative services and worked in different administrative capacities at NEIST Jorhat, CMERI Durgapur, CSIR-IMMT Bhubaneswar and CSIR Headquarters. He was holding the position of Senior Deputy Secretary at CSIR Headquarters. 

Shri Ray is having a Post-Graduate Degree in Political Science, Master in Business Administration (HR) and LLB from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He was member of various committees on administrative matters in the Ministry of Health, Government of India, IITs, AIIMS, NITs, IISERs, NCSM, AICTE, Central Universities etc. He conducted various departmental cases as Inquiry Officer and presented cases as Presenting Officer. Also, conducted various training courses on several establishment matters.
