Shri Dharmendra Kumar Sahoo is currently working as Senior Assistant Registrar in the Director’s Office and Head of Section of Academic Affairs Office. Prior to this, assignment he was working as Stores and Purchase Officer of this Institute from March 2021 to August 2025. He joined IISER Berhampur in Dec 2017 as Assistant Security Officer-cum-Transport Manager. In addition to the primary responsibilities in the areas of Security and Transport, he worked in the Department of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Administration. He joined as Assistant Registrar in July 2019.
Prior to joining IISER Berhampur, Shri Sahoo served the nation for more than 20 years as a combatant in the Indian Armed Forces. He was an Electrical Artificer (Radio) in Indian Navy and worked onboard naval war-ships. He worked as an Instructor at INS Valsura, a premier electrical and technological training institution of Indian Navy. He retired from the Indian Navy in Nov 2017.
