Whom Do We Serve
Students, staff and their (regular staff) dependants are eligible for all services at IISER Berhampur dispensary, such as OPD consultations, counselling and referral services.
Scope
- General medical consultation and medical management on an OPD basis.
- Student counselling.
- Nebulisation and Asthma care.
- First aid for medical emergencies
- Dressing and wound care
- Suturing of minor wounds
- Prophylactic Tetanus toxoid vaccination when indicated.
- Facilitating first aid medicine supply in all hostels.
- Medical Leave of Absence recommendations.
- Medical reimbursement recommendation for eligible staff.
- Referrals to outside providers and to higher levels of care under the following circumstances
- If the patients require long-term treatment.
- If there’s a need for a specialist or specialized care.
- If there’s a need for inpatient hospital treatment.
- Treatment of students while they are on leave.
- For laboratory investigations /imaging.

IISER Berhampur Health Center functions round the clock on all days.
Outpatient (OP) Doctor Consultation Hours
Outpatient (OP) Doctor consultation services are available from 9 AM to 9 PM through Regular OP and evening OP clinics from Monday through Friday(except Govt Holidays) and 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays.
